3 relaxing treatments to help you get a good night’s sleep

Are you getting enough sleep each night?  Too little or too much can play havoc with your body, affecting both how you feel internally and how you look on the outside.

The BBC Breakfast team asked recently “what’s your slumber number?” with respondents answering anything from 3 to 9 hours sleep each night!   You can see the video replay here.
If you’re lacking the amount of sleep you need, it’s worth trying to figure out the reasons why this might be.  Stressed out at work?  Children driving you mad?  Not enough hours in the day to get everything done, perhaps?  Once you’ve identified the possible causes you need to take action.  And what better way than to take some time out for yourself?

Come along to The Brookdale Clinic here in Knutsford, where we can offer you some soothing and relaxing treatments to help you drift off into a comfortable sleep when you go to bed that night!

  1. Physiotherapy can help you relieve stress in your neck allowing you to sleep more comfortably.  A one off or a course of treatment sessions with specialist advice from one of our qualified physiotherapists can do wonders for you!
  2. Enjoy a relaxing massage from Josna, our clinician.  Enjoy up to 60 minutes of total relaxation under her care.  Perhaps you might combine with an Indian Head massage for an all-round treatment?
  3. Or for something different, try reflexology, whereby applying pressure to different areas of the hands and feet, we can restore balance to the body and allow you to relax fully.

Here at The Brookdale Clinic, it is our aim to welcome you with a smile on our face and to see you leave with a smile on yours!  Take a look at our range of body treatments here.

An Evening of Skin Brightening Facial Treatments

Come to experience a wonderful facial treatment!

This is what we said to ladies in the local Cheshire earlier this year.  It was their chance to experience a brightening facial treatment from our Skin Clinician, Josna Crick, using advanced technology Skin Care products from Australian brand ‘Aspect Dr’.

Skin Brightening Facial TreatmentThose who took up the offer were treated to a brightening facial treatment to cleanse, hydrate and soften the face, using the ‘Aspect Dr’ Deep Clean Facial Cleanser, Vitamin A or C Serums (dependant upon skin type) and finished off using the Resveratol Cream. Each lucky attendee was given the opportunity to purchase a Starter Kit at a reduced price, in order to continue with their new facial regime at home.

You might wonder ‘Why should I bother with a skincare regime?’.

Everything you wanted to know about electrolysis

Julie Johnson is our electrologist in our electrolysis clinic not only for permanent hair removal but also in advanced cosmetic procedures for treatment of a wide variety of skin problems and blemishes.

Permanent hair removal with electrolysis:

Today’s medical electrolysis devices destroy the growth centre of the hair with chemical or heat energy. After a very fine probe is inserted into the hair follicle, the hair is removed with tweezers.

Most areas of the body can be treated including the eyebrows, face, abdomen, thighs, breasts, and legs.  Any hair type and any colour of skin or hair can be successfully treated with electrolysis.  Two main methods are used – Short Wave Diathermy (Thermolysis) and Blend Method (Thermocoagulation)

Advanced Cosmetic Procedures with Electrolysis:

A wide diversity of vascular and fibrous skin blemishes can be quickly and easily treated with electrology.  Julie can care for and support you in a practical sense by removing any unsightly skin blemishes that may have affected your confidence and well being recently or throughout your life.

Results are very effective and often immediate, offering a blemish free smooth skin.

Treatments with electrology include:

  • Skin tags
  • Milia
  • Warts (Common warts, Plane Warts, Filiform Warts)
