Everything you wanted to know about electrolysis

Julie Johnson is our electrologist in our electrolysis clinic not only for permanent hair removal but also in advanced cosmetic procedures for treatment of a wide variety of skin problems and blemishes.

Permanent hair removal with electrolysis:

Today’s medical electrolysis devices destroy the growth centre of the hair with chemical or heat energy. After a very fine probe is inserted into the hair follicle, the hair is removed with tweezers.

Most areas of the body can be treated including the eyebrows, face, abdomen, thighs, breasts, and legs.  Any hair type and any colour of skin or hair can be successfully treated with electrolysis.  Two main methods are used – Short Wave Diathermy (Thermolysis) and Blend Method (Thermocoagulation)

Advanced Cosmetic Procedures with Electrolysis:

A wide diversity of vascular and fibrous skin blemishes can be quickly and easily treated with electrology.  Julie can care for and support you in a practical sense by removing any unsightly skin blemishes that may have affected your confidence and well being recently or throughout your life.

Results are very effective and often immediate, offering a blemish free smooth skin.

Treatments with electrology include:

  • Skin tags
  • Milia
  • Warts (Common warts, Plane Warts, Filiform Warts)
  • Moles/Mole Hair
  • Verrucae
  • Sebaceous Hyperplasia

Dear Patient

Inline with the most recent guidelines issued by the Government, we are busy planning the reopening of our clinic.

Our first priority is the wellbeing of our patients and colleagues and this continues to be the case. As a result, we will only be reopening once we are satisfied that we have all of the necessary processes in place to ensure your safety.

We currently expect to open the clinic on Monday 6th July  with limited treatments and further safety measures in place.

When you attend our clinic there will be strict social distancing measures, enhanced protection for patients and colleagues, and temperature checks for everyone. Please follow any instructions from our team carefully.

We shall be contacting and rebooking all of those patients that had appointments prior to the Covid pandemic.

Thank you for your patience and we look forward to seeing you soon.
