Psychological Services offered at The Brookdale Clinic

We offer support from clinical psychologists for anyone in Knutsford and Cheshire suffering from emotional or psychological problems.

With a number of experts available to assist you, we are able to offer a range of counselling services including hypno-psychotherapy and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT).

What are Psychological Services?

Psychology is used in many different areas of our lives.  Big companies use it to influence what we buy, successful sports people use it to maximise their performance and schools use it to help students learn.  Clinical Psychologists and psychological therapists use their specialist knowledge of psychology to help people overcome emotional problems or change their behaviour using ‘talking therapies’.

Who might need Psychological Services?

Over the course of a year, 1 in 4 adults and 1 in 5 children will experience some kind of mental health problem.  This means that most of us will be affected by emotional problems at some point in our lives – even the Royal Princes have opened up and spoken of their own issues.  Everyday ups and downs such as money worries, fear of redundancy, experiencing a traumatic event, pressures of work or school, busy family life, caring for relatives and coping with illness or disability may put us under stress.  Incidents and even car accidents can leave us feeling shaky and nervous with lasting fears which can have an effect on our behaviour, thoughts and feelings, relationships with others and our performance at work or school.

These stresses can lead to a number of difficulties in adults and children such as;

Low moodPsychological Services at The Brookdale Clinic
Behavioural difficulties
Post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD)

Low self-esteem

At The Brookdale Clinic, Knutsford, our clinical psychologists offer support for these difficulties for both adults and children.

Dear Patient

Inline with the most recent guidelines issued by the Government, we are busy planning the reopening of our clinic.

Our first priority is the wellbeing of our patients and colleagues and this continues to be the case. As a result, we will only be reopening once we are satisfied that we have all of the necessary processes in place to ensure your safety.

We currently expect to open the clinic on Monday 6th July  with limited treatments and further safety measures in place.

When you attend our clinic there will be strict social distancing measures, enhanced protection for patients and colleagues, and temperature checks for everyone. Please follow any instructions from our team carefully.

We shall be contacting and rebooking all of those patients that had appointments prior to the Covid pandemic.

Thank you for your patience and we look forward to seeing you soon.
